Our scheme to involve people with experience of
using care services in our inspections has improved the inspection
process, say two evaluation reports.

Sandwell People First
Sandwell People First (now called Changing Our Lives), an
organisation run by people with a learning disability, has
published a report about how they worked with
people who use services in an inspection.
To get a copy of the report, please contact us.
We ask people to help inspect the kinds of services that they
know about.
For example, if we are inspecting learning disability services,
we ask someone with a learning disability to be part of our
inspection team.
