More people who use services take part in our work

Success points

We are still listening to people who use services as part of our inspection work, plus we are putting in place ways to assess councils based on the quality of the services used by them.

Our Chair, Dame Denise Platt, said: "In all of our programmes throughout the year we maintained our focus on improving outcomes for people who use social care."

You can read some comments from people who use services in our report. One person said:

"Many providers seem to think that the council is the customer, as they often pay the fees - but it’s not: people who use the service are the customers."
